Admin Tab | Price
Pricing rules are applied to accepted jobs/shifts based on criteria (Qualifiers) that match the Job Order.
How to Access
From within the Admin tab in WorkN, navigate to and select Price from the subtabs.
When is a Price Record Used?
Price records are applied to all Escalations. During initial configuration, Price records should be set to reflect rules such as:
- Bill Rate
- Minimum Guaranteed Pay
- Travel & Expense compensation
- Cancellation rates
Where are Prices Entered?
Prices can be applied in the Prices tab within the admin panel on the web. Prices can be set at either:
- Marketplace level
- Enterprise level
Prices set at the Enterprise level will always override prices at the Marketplace level, allowing each customer's pricing rules to be configured differently.
Which Price Record Will Be Applied to an Escalation?
By default, an Escalation will be matched against any matching Price records at the Enterprise level. The matching record with the highest order (lowest number) will be selected. If no Price records match at the Enterprise level, Marketplace pricing rules will be applied.
How is Order Applied to Price Records?
The term "Order" can be equated to "priority." A Price record with an order of 1 will be evaluated before a Price record with an order of 10. If there are price records with overlapping criteria, the item with the highest order (smallest number) will be selected.
Example:
- Front Desk workers at ANY location with Order = 4
- Front Desk workers in Atlanta with Order = 10
In this instance, an Escalation for Front Desk workers in Atlanta would apply the rules from the first price record, as it has higher priority.
How Can a Price Record for a Specific Worker or Worker Group Be Customized?
A standard Price record can only recognize attributes associated with the Session, not attributes associated only with the Talent.
Selected Talent can be tied to a Price but only at the Marketplace level. Talent can be selected to assign Marketplace-level pricing rules to them.
Use Case Example
Consider two tiers of Talent: Entry-level and Management.
Assume all standard pricing rules apply to Entry-level workers, but occasionally a Management-level worker may be placed on a job requiring higher billing rates. Management-level Talent can be tied to a higher price level that will override the standard pricing meant for entry-level workers.
